Out of School Club Play Worker
Role Details
Our Play Workers provide safe, stimulating, and enjoyable experiences for children before and after school, as well as during holiday clubs. They encourage creativity, social development, and active play, helping children have fun while feeling supported and valued.
Candidate Requirements
There's no need for qualification, however we are looking for a person with a big heart who is able to interact with the children and understand the impact of listening to the voice of the child to enhance their learning. You must be committed to protect children from harm through following safeguarding procedures and ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities Include
Provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children attending the club.
Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and inclusion.
Build positive relationships with children and act as a positive role model.
Support children to develop confidence, independence and social skills.
Plan, prepare and deliver a range of age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, sports, games and creative play.
Encourage children to participate in activities and make choices about their play.
Adapt activities to meet the individual needs and interests of children.
Promote inclusive play opportunities for all children.
Follow all safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
Ensure children's individual needs, medical requirements and dietary requirements are understood and met.
Administer first aid when required and respond appropriately to accidents and emergencies.
Maintain a clean, safe and secure environment.
