Nursery Cook

Role Details

Part-time Nursery Chef/Cook, flexible hours between 9:00 - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. You will work Part-time with the hours to be negotiated; extra hours are available if required.

Candidate Requirements

Ideally, you will be qualified in Food Preparation/Hygiene or in childcare with the commitment to train in Food Hygiene. You must be committed to protect children from harm through following safeguarding procedures and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities Include

  • Producing nutritionally balanced meals and snacks.
  • Ensure ingredients in foods meet individual allergy and dietary requirements of all children.
  • Cleaning kitchen to meet HSE requirements.
  • Developing menus as part of a small team in line with Government Guidance.
  • Maintaining accurate and effective records in line with Safe Food Better Business.
  • Have a working knowledge of HACCP and COSHH regulations and guidelines (training will be given).
  • Stock control and ordering.
